Good PR was founded by Nevindee Amarasinghe in October 2019 during a dark period in Sri Lanka’s history. The country was facing extremely challenging economic circumstances at the time, triggered by the impact of the Easter Sunday attacks of April 2019. Fuelled by her passion and energy, Nevindee embarked on a journey to bring a positive difference to Sri Lanka’s PR landscape. Despite the difficulties faced by the company as well as the nation’s economy, Good PR gradually built up its business and was on a strong footing to face the unknown entity at the time known as the COVID-19 pandemic. While the pandemic exhausted the country’s resources at every level, Nevindee managed to remain focused on her goal of expanding Good PR while keeping her clients happy by delivering solutions that were impactful yet budget-friendly.
Looking back at the past 3 years, Nevindee commented, “It has certainly been a bit of a rollercoaster ride over the past 3 years but I am happy to note that there were more ups than downs. Every hurdle that we overcame made us stronger and Good PR has managed to grow our operations over the past 12 months by acquiring more clients and starting of our new company RSVP & Co. My vision for Good PR is to make it one of the most powerful PR influencers in the country and I believe we are on the right track.”
Over the past 3 years Good PR has managed to expand its client portfolio by entering various industries with several Public and Private Sector organisations on board for their communication campaigns across multiple industries such as Education, Banking and Finance, Insurance, ICT, Shipping, Exports and many others. This year the agency also signed up a world-renowned, best-selling author as one of its clients. As a relatively young company, Good PR also believes in offering a helping hand to startups by providing PR and event management services free-of-charge or at cost in order to support them in their entrepreneurial journeys.
