LaunchPad 2023 is a new initiative organised by AIESEC in University of Sri Jayewardenepura, consisting of two phases. The first phase ‘Dare to Dream’ was held on the 27th of September 2023 at the Postgraduate Institute of Medicine in Colombo. (PGIM Academic Center, 71 Rodney St, Colombo 00800, Sri Lanka.)
As AIESEC is the world’s largest youth-led organisation it always creates the space for the young leaders to enhance their potential, break down their comfort zone and make the challenging goals attainable.
As a contribution to this spirit, AIESEC in University of Sri Jayewardenepura initiated LaunchPad: Phase one: Dare to Dream for the young school leavers and undergraduates by creating a stage for them to encounter great personalities in the country in diverse backgrounds such as entrepreneurship, psychological, social media and entertainment.
The morning session was conducted by the gusted mentors Mohan Palliyaguruge, (a talented motivational speaker), Anderson Haran (well-known comedian and speaker), Heminda Jayaweera (a prominent tech innovator), and Ravindu Cooray (CEO of RAM studios) The entertainment session was colourful with the talented mentors Manuranga Wijesekara (an influential producer), Kaali (an accomplished YouTuber and content creator), Theekshana Anuradha (Well renowned musician), and Dilan Senanayake (Dubbing artist and content creator). Both sessions were impactful for the young participants to enhance their awareness about the different industries where they are going to make changes as leaders in the future.
