Stigmata, Sri Lanka’s pioneers of heavy metal music, is once again ready to deliver a night of headbanging action at “The Harder They Fall” concert at The Joint Pub and Grill, Colombo on 28th September from 7pm onwards. Backed by their partners in rock Trishira and Man Till God, the night is set to be an unforgettable experience for all fans of rock music.
With Stigmata building up towards the launch of its highly-anticipated fifth studio album, the band is performing regularly at several leading hotspots in Colombo and taking their fans through a memorable, high-octane musical journey through their hugely successful previous albums ‘Hollow Dreams (2003)’, ‘Silent Chaos Serpentine (2006)’, ‘Psalms of Conscious Martyrdom (2010)’, and ‘The Ascetic Paradox (2015)’, all of which pushed the boundaries of heavy metal music creation in the country. All these events will culminate with the celebration of the band’s milestone 25th anniversary next year which has been marked down to be a year of mind-blowing events and celebrations of the band’s unparalleled contributions to Sri Lanka’s heavy metal music and also the music industry in general.
During the latest event, the band is planning to delve into 4-5 new tracks from their upcoming 5th album having already given fans a taste of the album with the tracks ‘Inertia’ and ‘Trigger’ in previous gigs from earlier this year. They have also lined up a very special cover of a Slipknot track and will run through their fan favorites from each of their previous four albums to deliver several hours of hard-hitting rock music for their large fan base.
Stigmata stated, “It’s a pleasure to perform at The Joint Pub and Grill again. All the shows in 2024 have thus far been at full houses or sold-out venues, and we are excited for this one as well. Beyond the music, the event is also for a good cause as we have collaborated with Catthew & Company to deliver a unique collection of cat merchandize which will help to raise much-needed funds to take better care of stray cats. We will also be having our customary Stigmata merchandize for all those looking to grab a piece of the band.”
