LaunchPad 2023 is a new initiative organized by AIESEC in University of Sri Jayewardenepura, consisting of two phases. The first phase ‘Dare to Dream’ was held on 27th of September at the Postgraduate Institute of Medicine in Colombo. (PGIM Academic Center, 71 Rodney St, Colombo 00800, Sri Lanka) and the second phase was held on 16th of September at Sumangala Auditorium in University of Sri Jayewardenepura.
As the world’s largest youth- led organization, AIESEC always creates the space for the young leaders to enhance their potential, break down their comfort zone and make the challenging goals attainable.
As a contribution to this spirit, AIESEC in University of Sri Jayewardenepura initiated LaunchPad Phase one : Dare to Dream for the young school leavers and undergraduates and the second phase: Launching Your Career, for the undergraduates and fresh graduates by creating a stage for them to encounter great personalities in diverse backgrounds in corporate field, entrepreneurship and entertainment.
The Phase 1 of LaunchPad was carried out by popular yet expertised speakers; Mr Mohan Palliyguru, Mr Manuranga Wijesekara and Mr Heminda Jayaweera providing more insight ful points valuable to shape their career. The initial session of LaunchPad Phase 2 was carried out by the guested speaker Bathiya Jayakody (MD BnS production) and the insightful panel discussion was consisted with top corporate personalities such as Mr Dinuka Perera ( CEO of LankaPay), Mr Kishan Nanayakkara (MD Resus Energy PLC), Mr Dilupa Pathirana (CEO of Barista Coffee Lanka PVT LTD), Ms Imani Perera ( Head of Learning and Development JKH Group) and Ms Gayani de Alwis( Independent Non executive director Singer PLC) Further LaunchPad phase 2 consisted with a project planning session conducted by HayCarb PLC and finally a productive interactive session with the delegates.
