‘Revive’ is a timely initiative organized by AIESEC in the University of Sri Jayewardenepura where the entity had put forward the idea of a forum, in order to make their impactful contribution towards the gradual recovery of the current economic crisis Sri Lanka is facing as a nation.
AIESEC which is the world’s largest youth led organization, engages in giving opportunities to the youth by facilitating them in cross-cultural internship and volunteering exchanges with the prime objective of developing young leaders. Being one of the most outstanding Local Committees in Sri Lanka, AIESEC in University of Sri Jayewardenepura presents Revive, with the main motive to create awareness among the youth about the ongoing economic turmoil and inspiring creative solutions by providing an open, politically-unbiased space.
A glimpse of the event
Revive is a forum focused on engaging the youth to make them aware of the importance of being conscious of the economic situation of the country concurrently aligning with the sustainable development goal 08; Decent work and Economic Growth.
The forum will be held on the 13th of July 2022 with the participation of over 150 Sri Lankan youth who are fervent to come out of this crisis including students, undergraduates and members of youth organizations.
Revive will take place in three main segments starting with a keynote speech from Mr. Peter D’almeida who is a well known personality among Sri Lankans, followed by an insightful panel discussion moderated by Ms. Ashinsanie Weerasinghe, featuring Mr. Dhananath Fernando from Advocata Institute, Dr. Dinesh Hemangoda from Hemas Consumer Brands, senior lecturer and talk show host, Mr.Tharindu Amarasekera along with experts in the field that will give the partakers an opportunity to gain knowledge from the profound takes of our panelists with respect to the ongoing economic challenges. The forum will conclude with a momentous open discussion space where the questions from the delegates will be answered and their opinions will be put into discussion with our panelists.
