The most anticipated music sensation of the year, Thumul Rawa, was held on 6th of June 2024, at Nawa Ragahala, Royal College, Colombo 07, from 05:00 pm onwards. Organized by the University of Colombo, Faculty of Management and Finance (FMF) Music Circle undergraduates, in collaboration with the University of Colombo Music Circle (UCMC), this event was a resounding success. Thumul Rawa showcased an impressive lineup of performances, highlighting the diverse talents of the university’s students.
The event featured renowned guest artists Supun Perera and Piyath Rajapakshe, who captivated the audience with their exceptional performances. Their participation added a touch of star power to the evening, making it even more memorable for the attendees.
The success of Thumul Rawa can be attributed to the dedicated efforts of the FMF Music Circle team, led by President Mr. Pawan Dhanushka. Key figures such as Mr. Duleepa Lakshman, (Lecturer at the University of Colombo and Senior Treasurer of the FMF Music Circle), and Mr. Tharindu Pilapitiya – Events Coordinator of the FMF Music Circle, played pivotal roles in organizing and executing this grand event. Their commitment and enthusiasm, along with the support of enthusiastic members, ensured the smooth running of the concert.
The FMF Music Circle is dedicated to nurturing a vibrant musical community. Their vision is to become Sri Lanka’s premier university music circle, empowering students to explore, express, and connect through music.
